Psychoanalysis Psychotherapy & Consultation

Welcome

I am a psychoanalyst, psychotherapist, and clinical consultant licensed in Washington and New York. My in-person practice is based in downtown Seattle. Here, you can find information about my services and how to get in touch.

Psychotherapy and psychoanalysis are unique relational experiences that open space for growth, transformation and becoming.

There are many reasons someone might begin therapy. Some notice that their emotional or mental states are affecting their relationships, creativity, or sense of vitality. Others are navigating a transition, heartbreak, or trauma that feels overwhelming. Loneliness, too, often brings people into this work. And some arrive with a deep curiosity—wanting to explore, understand, and share their inner life more fully.

Therapy can be a profound gift to oneself: an opportunity to enter into deeper, more connected ways of being.

About Me

I have over 20 years experience working in a variety of mental health settings.  I received my bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Utah State University and went onto complete my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of South Carolina.

I completed psychoanalytic training from the National Training Program at the National Institute of Psychotherapies (www.nipinst.org) located in NYC,  in December 2021.

I am affiliated and faculty with Northwestern Psychoanalytic Society and Institute (NPSI) and Seattle Psychoanalytic Society and Institute (SPSI).  I am also affiliated with the Northwest Alliance for Psychoanalytic Study (NWAPS).

My clinical work and writing are informed by my studies in art, classical observational drawing, drag/queer performance and religion.

I am licensed in Washington state as an (LICSW) Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (#LW 60233674). I am licensed in New York State as an (LCSW) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (#094917).

Services

Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis:

There are different ways we can work together, and I will offer suggestions as I come to know you better. Some people prefer to meet more frequently and explore deeply over time (psychoanalysis), while others prefer a once- or twice-weekly rhythm that still allows meaningful change (psychotherapy). We’ll decide together what feels right for you.

Supervision/Consultation:

Supervision and consultation are ongoing dialogues between colleagues that support professional growth, creativity, and sustainability.

My background spans community mental health, private practice, and group settings. I enjoy working with both newer and seasoned clinicians—not only around clinical questions and ethics, but also around the often-overlooked realities of practice-building: business strategy, marketing, sustainability, and the impact these choices have on our clients.

I believe it’s possible to develop a practice that is both financially sustainable and deeply committed to serving vulnerable communities.

I meet all criteria for approved supervisor status in Washington State (MSW).

I have returned to in-person sessions and continue to offer Telehealth on an as-needed basis with patients.

Fees

I use a private billing service to provide my patients with a monthly billing/receipt statement for their services.  I accept payment Cash/Check or electronically through Zelle.

Specific rates are discussed at our first consultation together.  I work on a sliding scale for those folks unable to afford my full fee.

Insurance:

My practice is not in-network with insurance panels.

I frequently work with clients on an out-of-network basis and am happy to provide a monthly invoice that you may submit to your insurance provider or flexible spending plan for potential reimbursement.

Please note that it is your responsibility to contact your insurance provider prior to beginning services to confirm coverage for out-of-network care.
